The Annapolis Capital Gazette reports, "Senate committee set to tackle gun control, death penalty." It's written by Alex Jackson.
Guns and death.
That’s what state Sen. Brian E. Frosh said his Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee would “likely” be discussing Thursday, when it sits down to vote on whether to send bills to the Senate floor.
Frosh, D-Montgomery, the committee chairman, expects a spirited debate before the votes on Gov. Martin O’Malley’s gun control bill and his proposed repeal of the death penalty.
So far those bills, two of the most controversial of the session, have not advanced in the House of Delegates. But Frosh is willing to move quickly on both.
