That's the headline in today's Houston Chronicle reporting on the sentencing phase of Tyrone Williams' federal death penalty trial. LINK
During this week's penalty phase, the defense is trying to show evidence that Williams should not be put to death.
The defense called Houston federal detention center workers, who explained what life has been like for Williams and how he has behaved in prison. Several described Williams, 36, as a well-behaved inmate who has remained positive.
"It's a hard life for anybody to adapt to," said correctional officer Percy Brooks Jr. "The way he's adapted, his faith must be pretty high."
Prison chaplain David Carroll said Williams has never been angry or bitter.
