I'm two blocks from the stunning Philadelphia City Hall, working in the hotel room while my wife is at an educators' conference a few subway stops north on the Broad Street line at Temple University. While I will be working, I will also do my best to visit the Rodin museum, and eat a Philly Cheese Steak.
Do take the opportunity to visit the Daily Must Reads in the left hand column. Karl Keys is keeping up with developments all over, and Doug Berman posts about a call for papers by the National Center on State Courts' Justice System Journal.
I am pleased to pass along this announcement from the Justice System Journal calling for paper for an upcoming issue on capital punishment. Here's the start of the pitch:
The Justice System Journal, sponsored by the National Center for State Courts, will be publishing a special issue on aspects of capital punishment; the likely publication date is late 2008. The journal's editors would be interested in receiving proposals — from academics and practitioners alike — for possible articles for that special issue.
