Earlier today, the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on DNA Grants Oversight held a hearing. It heard from the Justice Department Inspector General on his recent report and other witnesses.
I just caught part of the hearing on C-SPAN2. It will re-air on C-SPAN2 in a few hours beginning at 12:39 am, (EST) Thursday, January 24. It will re-air on C-SPAN a few hours later at 3:15 am (EST). The hearing lasts approximately one hour and 25 minutes. If it re-airs again, I'll post the time.

A hearing was held titled "Oversight of the Justice for All Act PL 108-405: Has the Justice Department Effectively Administered the Bloodsworth and Coverdell DNA Grant Programs?" The programs provide funds to assist federal and state authorities use DNA technology to solve crimes and protect the innocent. The previous week Inspector General Glenn Fine reported that the Department of Justice had not released $14 million appropriated for those programs.
