Susannah Sheffer writes that Murder Victims' Families for Human Rights has a new website.
MVFHR is an international, non-governmental organization of family members of murder victims and family members of the executed, all of whom oppose the death penalty in all cases. We view the death penalty as a profound violation of human rights.
Having all suffered a tragic loss, MVFHR members have come in different ways and times to the understanding that the death penalty does not help us heal and is not the way to pursue justice for victims. We invite you to read more about our experience and the work of MVFHR, and learn how you can help us support victims and work to end the death penalty.
The new site is detailed at MVFHR's blog, For Victims, Against the Death Penalty.
The site gives a good and easily accessible overview of our work, including our efforts to spread our message to audiences around the world. Our Gallery of Victims Stories is there, of course, and helpful links to our other published material. For example, browse through this summary of the eight published issues of our newsletter, Article 3, and follow the links to any issues that interest you. Check out the summary of our work in the area of victims' rights and human rights, and see our suggestions of ways to get involved.
Best wishes to an incredible organization and all the good work done by its members.
