Sounds typical for our State, I don't know that I want to abolish the death penalty, but for heavens sake use some DNA testing to exxonerate those who are not guilty and get the process moving again. Of course the prison workers (COs) union is not allowing our State to do anything with the costs of running the prison. It's going to be the prisoners who are punished even more by not receiving education and rehabilitation to save the money. That just falls into place with how that union works. I'm appaled, but not surprised. The legislators need to be replaced by people who aren't afraid to do what is right. Get rid of the legislator incumbents and get some fresh faces in there, people who will do the right thing and get the R back into CDCR!
