The Kentucky Supreme Court is set to hear the latest appeal in the case of a death row inmate convicted in a 1987 kidnapping and slaying of a woman.
The justices on Thursday will take up two issues raised by 57-year-old Gregory L. Wilson. Wilson was convicted on Oct. 31, 1988, of kidnapping and killing Deborah "Debbie" Pooley of Kenton County 19 months earlier.

Wilson claims that his appeals counsel was ineffective and on issues related to DNA evidence.
Oral arguments in the case is today.
